Wheels.ca's Used Car Review - 2005-2011 Acura RL

"Lithe and innovative, Honda was the first Japanese automaker to challenge the luxury-auto establishment when it launched its Acura line in 1986.
The opportunity for Japanese manufacturers to export more expensive models to North America had arisen, ironically, with the voluntary export restraints negotiated by the Reagan administration to prevent the Japanese from eating Detroit’s lunch and dinner.
Acura’s initial offerings consisted of a sporty hatchback (Integra), as well as an executive-class sedan and coupe. The latter were powered by a single overhead cam (SOHC) working four valves per cylinder in an all-aluminum 2.5 L V6.
Like a batter pointing to the outfield bleachers, Acura had the gumption to call its luxury car Legend."
